Bathroom colour idea: A green bathroom
Over recent years, despite an abundance of bathroom colours and tiles being available (granted some of them are awful) the majority of bathroom designs have been limited to just a few colours.
Neutral blues, beiges, browns and the old favourite white have dominated bathroom colours up and down the country, relegating the old favourite green bathroom to a thing of the past.
Now we have nothing against these colours, in fact we love a neutral blue against a white subway tile background, but it seems mainstream bathroom colours have got a bit boring.
Well now green bathrooms are back with style and they're ready to give your traditional bathroom an injection of life; or more correctly, an injection of olive.
We love the idea of taking this Overtly Olive paint from Dulux and combining it with white wall tiles and a grey floor to create a great spin on the traditional bathroom look.
If you're looking for a traditional bathroom, but don't want to end up with an all white look then a green bathroom could be the way forward.
If your bathroom's small, remember to keep the ceiling white and add in a bit of coving to give the impression of space too.
As a strong colour in your bathroom can often be overwhelming, try to lighten it up with some creative bathroom lighting; especially if you don't have a lot of natural light in your bathroom.
Above all else, no matter how wonderful this olive green would look in your bathroom, don't forget to pick the right accessories to go with it. If you're stuck for ideas why not check out this great vintage multiple mirror idea.
